Winfield High School grad Michaela Seahorn was named to the all-league first team in voting by Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail League Division III-IV girls soccer coaches.
The forward led the Lady Vikings in goals.
Arkansas City High School sophomore forward Brandy Barron was named to the all-league second team in voting by Division III coaches.
Barron already has tied the school record for goals in a season with three. Her four goals are the most in the history of the young program, and she became the first player in team history to achieve a second-team or higher honor.
Both the Lady Bulldogs and Lady Vikings saw five players earn honorable mention.
Winfield junior Emily Randall was honored at forward, and freshman midfielder Anna Ross received a nod. Juniors Sydney Russell, Kodi Salsman and Camden Humphreys all earned honorable mention as defenders for Winfield.
Recent ACHS grads Angie Ramirez (1 goal, 1 assist) and Karen Rodriguez earned mention as a midfielders for the Lady Bulldogs, joining sophomore teammate Ellie Messenger, who notched two goals and one assist.
Graduating senior cornerback Alli Riedl, who recorded two goals and two assists, also earned honorable mention. Riedl is tied with Barron for the most goals in school history and owns the school mark in assists with two.
Junior Regan Branch, who recorded 265 saves, earned honorable mention at goalkeeper.
“Great to see these players get recognized for their hard work and individual accomplishments this season, especially the seniors who have all work extremely hard and diligently these past four years to improve their individual game and the soccer program,” ACHS coach Joe Schwartz said. “We had a lot of growth and development both as individuals and a team this past season and I’m looking forward to seeing that trend continue.”
