MOORE, Okla. — The Southwestern College women’s basketball team earned a 92-59 victory last Tuesday against the Randall Lady Saints.

The Lady Builders (2-0) started 2-0 for the first time since the 2010-11 season.

Southwestern jumped all over the Lady Saints, posting a 27-14 first-quarter lead.

The Lady Builders then outscored Randall 30-12 in the second frame to take a 57-26 halftime lead.

The defense limited the home team to just 27 percent from the floor. Southwestern outrebounded the Lady Saints 47-29.

After averaging well more than 20 turnovers a game last season, the Lady Builders had just 15 turnovers.

Junior Ashley Carrillo led all scorers off the bench with 17 points on 7-of-8 shooting to go with five rebounds. Senior Jazmyne Laskey added 16 points, while junior Sydney Webb chipped in 12 points, four steals and three assists.

The Lady Builders play at 5 p.m. Saturday at Oklahoma Science and Arts in Chickasha, Okla.
