The Southwestern College Lady Builders improved their winning streak to nine Tuesday night after defeating Central Baptist and Randall as part of a triangular in Stewart Field House.
The Lady Builders (9-4) came out firing in all aspects of their first match on campus this season in a 25-14, 25-12, 27-25 sweep of Central Baptist.
Deardin Kelley and Kanami Ellis finished with 10 kills apiece. Sydney Hancock averaged more than seven assists per set in match one, totaling 22 for the Lady Builders.
Reigning KCAC Defender of the Week and the NAIA’s top dig-getter, Emily White finished with 21 digs. Jacquelyn Bogner, who leads the KCAC in service aces, added two more to her season total.
Southwestern was just as dominant in the first two sets against Randall, outlasting the Lady Saints for a 25-11, 25-11, 21-25, 25-23 victory.
Kelley and Bogner led the offense, both ending with 12 kills each. Kaila Harris and Hancock combined for 39 assists, while White recorded 29 digs.
The Lady Builders play at 7 p.m. today at home against Wayland Baptist.
