The Cowley College men’s and women’s tennis teams have several players in the Oracle/ITA NJCAA National and Region III tennis rankings.

Freshman Bruno Suiama is ranked ninth in the national singles rankings and is ranked third in Region III. Fellow freshman Valter Oshiro is ranked 26th nationally and sixth in the region.

Freshman Killian Dagneaux and sophomore Wlayimer Jimenez are ranked 17th and 25th in Region III, respectively.

The doubles team of Suiama and Oshiro is ranked fourth in Region III and 12th nationally. The doubles tandem of Casey Edwards and Killian Dagneaux is ranked eighth in the region and 25th nationally.

Cowley freshman Tasha Dembo is ranked 16th nationally in singles and fifth in Region III for the Lady Tigers. Fellow freshman Kristela Vidnere is ranked 20th nationally and sixth in the region. Aleta Macheli also earned the 45th ranking nationally and is ranked 16th in the region, while Laura Rincon Arias is ranked 24th in the region.

The doubles team of Dembo and Vidnere garnered the No. 3 ranking in Region III and is ranked ninth nationally. The combo of Mariana Rodriguez and Laura Rincon Arias also appear in the Region III doubles ranking at No. 10.

The Tigers open the spring season Feb. 9 against Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Mo.
