McPHERSON — Three members of the Southwestern College women’s golf team took part in their first spring tournament of the season Monday and Tuesday at the Bethany Spring Invitational at Turkey Creek Golf Course.

The teams dealt with inclement weather Monday that allowed for just nine holes, resulting in the first day’s action to be washed out as they started over on Tuesday.

Senior Abby Bertholf led the way for the Lady Builders, finishing with a 7-over 78, tied for fourth overall and just two strokes behind the leader.

Sophomore Lauren Sieh ended her first spring outing with an 88, placing her in 14th. Senior Reid Green carded a 94 for 19th.

The Lady Builders are back in action next Monday and Tuesday at the Hillcat Classic hosted by Rogers State, in Owasso, Okla.
