Mr. Gomes Goes to Washington

Cowley College sophomore Elluan Martins Gomes poses with friends and teammates after signing a National Letter of Intent to continue his soccer career at NCAA Division II University of the District of Columbia. As a freshman, Gomes helped the Tigers to qualify for the National tournament for the first time in school history. He was first-team all-conference and co-Offensive Player of the Year in the Jayhawk Conference. This past season, Gomes scored 16 goals and was named the Jayhawk East Player of the Year and the fourth All-American in the history of the program.
