The USD 470 school district announced late Wednesday night that Roosevelt Elementary students will learn remotely today and Friday due to COVID-19 case at the school.
"We regret the late notice, but we are now aware an individual at Roosevelt Elementary has tested positive for COVID-19," an emailed statement reads.
The district will monitor the situation to determine whether the remote learning will continue into next week. The last day of school is scheduled for May 26.
"We hope to end this school year strong and healthy," the district stated. "You can help us by monitoring your health and taking precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
