The K & O Steam & Gas Engine Association, Inc. will hold a “Good Old Days” event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 13 at the K & O grounds.

The day is designed for kids in third, fourth and fifth grades.

“We are planning a variety of farm-related activities as a way of “Preserving the Past for Future Generations,’” Loma Berndsen said, association member.

Attendance can be come-and-go or stay for the entire event. The K & O will provide drinks for the students. Feel free to bring school sack lunches.

Seating will not be provided.

People doing demonstrations will take a lunch break at noon.

To reach the grounds, take U.S. Highway 160 West from Winfield to Smith Road (just west of John Deere). Turn north on Smith Road and follow it to the grounds. Members will have information and directions for parking when attendees arrive.

To assist the group in planning for the event, call either Connie Curran at (620) 660-0157, or Loma Berndsen at (620) 221-6169, with the number of students and adults attending.
