Two national restaurants have set their sites on the Winfield/Arkansas City area as possible locations for future expansion.

Both organizations are offering franchise opportunities to interested investors.

In a recent press release, a representative for the Atlanta, Ga.-based Huddle House stated that Arkansas City and Garden City are being considered as potential locations. The organization currently has more than 400 restaurants, including three Kansas locations, Emporia, Salina and Wichita.

According to the press release, Huddle House restaurants are known for home-cooked meals, 24-hour breakfast service and large portions at fair prices.

Sam and Louie’s Pizza is also looking to expand throughout the midwest. The Omaha, Neb.-based company has locations in six states, including a location in Iola, and is seeking investors for possible locations in Cowley County.
