The Winfield Area Chamber of Commerce will host two candidate forums in the coming weeks.

The first forum for the Winfield City Commission candidates is from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 7 at the Community Center at Baden Square.

A forum for the USD 465 Board of Education Candidates is from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 12 at the Community Center at Baden Square.

Winfield City Commission candidates are Brenda Butters, Greg Thompson, Kevin Coon, Michael Rozell and Michael Kelley.

USD 465 Board of Education candidates are Ed Loeb, Joe Hedges, Derek Koller, Chad Mayberry, Jalaine Richardson, Charissa Wall, and Kinnie Ledford.

Missi Henderson filed to run as a candidate for USD 465 BOE, but has since expressed that she is no longer able to serve in this capacity. A full statement from Henderson will be available at the forum.

Cheryl Rude, Southwestern College professor of leadership studies, will moderate the Winfield City Commission forum. Greg Thompson, the chairman of the Cowley County legislative committee, will moderate the USD 465 BOE forum. Attendees will be able to submit questions in writing the night of the event, or in advance by emailing ceo@winfieldpartners.org.

This event will also be livestreamed on the Winfield Area Chamber of Commerce Facebook page and posted for later viewing.
