Two fundraisers have been established to help a Winfield family who lost their home Wednesday to a fire.
A GoFundMe and an account at Union State Bank have been set up to help the family of Kris Olmstead, whom property records show owns the house at 1114 E. Ninth Ave., that caught fire on Wednesday.
The GoFundMe description reads that Olmstead, her mother and dogs escaped, but the house is a total loss.
“If you know Kris, you know that she would give the literal shirt off her back to help someone in need,” GoFundMe facilitator Stacie Strait wrote. “She won’t be asking for help, but as a community we can surround her with love and support as she grieves the loss of her family home and all of its contents.”
A fund has also been set up for the family at Union State Bank in Winfield.
The fire was one of two that happened this week in Winfield. The other fire occurred late Monday night in the 1200 block of Broadway Boulevard.
More information about the fires was not immediately available.
