Nicole to perform in Island Park

Danielle Nicole

Island Park Productions will host 2021 Blues Music Awards Winner and 2019 Grammy nominee — Danielle Nicole — in the second concert of their 2021 Duck Jam in the Park Concert Series on June 17 at the Island Park Performance Venue. Founding member, lead singer, and bass player of internationally acclaimed Blues/Rock band Trampled Under Foot, Danielle Nicole Schnebelen stepped out on her own in 2015 with her debut album “Wolf Den.”

Nicole’s show, style and tone are all her own and can only be experienced. By Nicole’s side is her founding guitarist Brandon Miller of Kansas City and drummer Cameron Tyler currently hailing from Las Vegas.

The gates will open at 6 p.m. Opening act Dusty Grant, rock singer/songwriter out of Wichita, will take the stage at 7 p.m. Danielle Nicole will begin at 8 p.m. The concert is free and open to the public thanks to many generous sponsors. Volunteers will be taking cash donations at the gate and during the performances in blue Duck Jam buckets.

Attendees are welcome to bring their own food and beverages, including alcohol. The Winfield Lions Club will be selling pork burgers and sides and the Soroptimists of Winfield will be serving snacks in the big Soroptimist Pavilion in the park.

There will be Duck Jam in the Park shirts and stickers available for sale under the “Merch Tent” by the stage. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs or picnic blankets, as there will be no benches provided.

Parking will only be permitted on the exterior of the park. The Winfield Masonic Lodge will be helping guide vehicles to open parking spots. Those with handicap placards on their vehicle will be allowed to park inside and close to the stage.

Island Park Productions has three more concerts planned for the series, including cover band Uche and The Crash, soul jazz 9-piece band The Freedom Affair, and a bluegrass dual-headliner show featuring Wild Ponies and The Mighty Pines on the day of the Walnut Valley Festival Land Rush.
