Thirteen members and one guest attended the Oct. 2 meeting of Soroptimist International of Winfield at the Winfield American Legion.

Hannah Stultz was the guest of Dee Ledy.

The Soroptimist October Yard of the Month was awarded to Richard and Sheryl Clower of 1303 E. Seventh Ave. Suggestions for this award can be given to any Soroptimist member.

Longtime member Kathryn Schuster was honored for her special birthday.

Donna Thompson announced that Terri Lynn orders, with money, must be turned in on Oct.16.  Call (620) 262-1859 to place an order.

The club was commended for their work in increasing membership by Soroptimist International.

Donations are still being accepted for the Friday Fun Packs by the Winfield Arts & Humanities Council.

The club is saddened to announce that their free, annual community Thanksgiving dinner has been canceled due to COVID-19.

Members Ledy and Ruth Parman attended the SCR Fall Meeting the first weekend in October in Midwest City, Okla. Parman serves as the District II chairman.

Thompson won the club’s 50/50 Lucky Duck drawing.

The next business meeting is Oct. 16 and the next board meeting is Nov. 4. Both meetings are at noon at the Winfield American Legion.
