Presidential candidate Joe Biden has recently stated his emphatic support for the entire LGBTQ agenda. This includes him recently stating that an eight year old child is to be affirmed if they want to change their gender, and also that the rest of society should affirm the child in their change. An eight year old child? An elementary age child still in their formative years? And have that child then begin to take drugs and hormone blockers to reverse their heathy, physical body? It’s not a body problem but a mind problem. A child confused about their gender and sexuality needs caring counseling to understand their body as God made it, not drugs and hormone blockers to change their healthy, physical body.

If America is not morally shocked that a presidential candidate would proclaim this, then you have to wonder, what would shock America at all anymore?

People talk about all of the social changes happening in America as getting on the right side of history. But to be on the right side is to be on God’s side according to his word, the Bible. Not knowing what God says in scripture about abortion and LGBTQ issues is a problem. But to know what scripture teaches and then ignore it, twist it, or rebel against it is far worse.

Psalm 22:10 makes clear that “from birth I was cast on you; from my mother’s womb you have been my God.” Concerning marriage, gender and family, Jesus said in Matthew 19:4-6, “He who created them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife and the two shall become one flesh.’”

Of course, God’s kingdom will not come to us on Air Force One. God himself will still reign as king of kings and lord of lords, no matter who’s elected.  But as our society gets more perilously difficult and worse as prophesied in scripture (2 Timothy 3:1 and 13), we know that more than things are falling apart, they are falling into place. God is in control. Pray. Vote. And trust in Jesus Christ!
