First area babies of 2021 welcomed

LEFT: Matthew Tatum and wife Sheila, center, of Burden welcomed son Mason Cooper Tatum, the first baby delivered at William Newton Hospital in 2021. Also pictured is advanced nurse practitioner Tarena Sisk, who delivered Mason at 1:33 a.m. He weighed 7 pounds, 9 ounces and was 19.5 inches long. Mason joins a brother and sister. In 2020, 290 babies were born at WNH.

RIGHT: Aliyah Faith Icenhour, the first baby born at South Central Kansas Medical Center in 2021, arrived at 6:50 a.m. Friday. She weighed 6 pounds, 8 ounces, and was 20 inches long. The proud parents are Andrea Kallberg and Eric Icenhour, of Arkansas City.
