Ray Wentworth and Merylene Giger were married Jan. 29, 1972 at Mt. Hope Methodist Church and will celebrate their 50th anniversary. They have lived and farmed in the Ashton/Geuda Springs area all of their married life. Retirement is looking better to Ray, as this will be his last year to farm. Merylene has worked for Southwestern Bell in Amarillo, Texas, and Arkansas City. She also worked for Presbyterian Manor in later years of marriage. They were blessed with two children, Rhonda (Jeremy) Engbrock, of Derby, and Kenny (Jason), of Imperial, Mo. God has really enriched their lives with four wonderful grandsons, Alex, Gabe, Thad and Max. They hope to enjoy the years ahead by spending more time with their children, grandchildren and friends.
