Funeral services for Mary Laverne Frazier Jennings-Gross were Thursday, May 25, 2023 at St. James Church of God in Christ in Arkansas City. Pastor C. Edward Watson II officiated. Interment ceremonies were at Highland Cemetery.
Casket bearers were Chelsy Driver, Daley Gunter, Xavier Hardy, Nicholas Patton, Timothy Patton and Joni Watson.
Honorary casket bearers were Aaron “Buddy” Gunter, David Gunter, Marvin Gunter and Nathan Gunter.
The order of service included the processional by Pastor C. Edward Watson II; prayer by Elder Orville R. White; scripture reading by Deacon Kavin Harris; musical selection by Missionary Marcia J. Redmond; condolences/resolutions and reading of the obituary by Deaconess Maredith Watson; family expressions by the children of Mary; a video presentation; musical selection by Elder Edward G. Greene; and the eulogy and recessional by Pastor C. Edward Watson II.
Video music included “Heaven,” by Mary Mary; and “Well Done,” by Deitrick Haddon.
A memorial has been established in Mary’s name for the Polycystic Kidney Disease Foundation.
Miles Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements.
