Marvin L. Schoonover, 69, loving husband, father and Pa, passed away at his home in Park City on Feb. 19, 2021, surrounded by his family.

Marvin graduated from Arkansas City High School with the class of 1969. He proudly served his country as an RM2 radio operator aboard the USS Albany during the Vietnam War. Following his time in the service, he had a career in the printing industry, ending at DeVore and Sons Bible Publishing Company. Marvin was a licensed minister who attended and pastored a number of Southern Baptist churches in his life. Additionally, he was a member of the Pied Typers Club and held numerous vocational honors and certificates. Throughout his life, he had a passion for music and woodworking, played softball, and enjoyed watching college basketball, NFL football and NASCAR racing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jay and Helen Schoonover; and sister, Carolyn Epp.
Survivors include his loving wife, Jody Schoonover; daughter, Chasity Schoonover; granddaughter, Sophie Schoonover; son, Shane (Justin) Stuhlsatz; and sister, Jan (Ray) Crawford.
