Brenda Sue Pulliam, 69, of Arkansas City, passed away Saturday, May 19, 2018, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
Funeral services are at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 24, at Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor K.C. Colvin will officiate. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery.
Memorials have been established for Disabled American Veterans and the First Southern Baptist Church. Contributions can be made through the funeral home.

Brenda was born Dec. 9, 1948, to James E. Sr. and Mary E. (Dix) Pulliam, in St. Louis, Mo. She was reared and educated in Arnold, Mo., graduating from Fox High School in 1967. After high school she attended and graduated from Jefferson College with a degree in psychology. Brenda then became a teacher and taught at Fox High and Junior High School for several years. After moving to Arkansas City, she continued teaching and substituting for USD 470.
In her youth, Brenda had been the poster child for the March of Dimes in St. Louis and St. Louis County. She taught ceramics and enjoyed arts and crafts and cooking, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
Brenda was preceded in death by her father and her grandparents.
Survivors include her mother, Mary Harlow; brothers, James Edward Pulliam and David Wayne Pulliam, both of Arkansas City, and Claude Charles Pulliam and wife, Danielle, of Austin, Minn.; stepsisters, Kathleen Kettle and husband, Robert, of Douglass, and Carolyn Viers and husband, Edward, of Fredonia; and numerous nieces and nephews.
