The Winfield High School girls golf team placed four players on the Kansas Golf Coaches Association Class 4A All-State team.

The Lady Vikings were runners-up at the KSHSAA Class 4A State Championships last month, just one stroke away from the state title won by Wamego.

WHS senior Chaney Littell, who fired a two-day 172 to place sixth at the Big Show, earned All-State first-team honors.

Junior Savanna Nickum, who tied for eighth at State, topped the second-team All-State list.

Chaney’s little sister Carley Littell, earned a second-team nod after the sophomore finished 12th at State with a two-day 176.

Senior Celine Mendoza, who finished in a tie for 26th at State, also earned a second-team All-State nod.
