Bryanna Kuhn continued her mastery of the opposition, scoring the only goal of the game in the 43rd minute, leading the Southwestern College women’s soccer team to a 1-0 victory Saturday night against Bethany in the quarterfinals of the KCAC Championship at Richard L. Jantz Stadium.

The third-seeded Lady Builders (12-4-1) advanced to the semifinals at 7:30 p.m. against No. 2 seed Friends at the Stryker Complex in Wichita.

Kuhn recorded her 16th goal, the most in a season in program history. The 12 victories also is the most in program history.

Kuhn weaved through three defenders before cutting the ball back into the bottom right corner of the net at the 43:32 mark of the first half.

The Southwestern defense made the goal stand up. The Lady Swedes (5-11-2) were outshot 12-6 and only had two shots on goal, both saved by Mallory Lund, who notched the shutout in the net.
