A proposal to delay the start of the winter high school sports season on Jan. 15 will be voted on at 1 p.m. Nov. 24 during a meeting of the Kansas State High School Activities Association, according to a press release sent Wednesday by the KSHSAA.

Challen Jimenez, a 2020 graduate of Central of Burden High School, competed in a powerlifting meet Saturday in Ottawa. He won his weight division and qualified for Nationals. Challen is currently attending Friends University on a powerlifting and academic scholarships.
